Basic Obedience

A dog and a well-behaved dog are very different things. We want you to be proud of your buddy and the basic obedience level is the perfect start in your dog training journey.
You will learn:
- Motivation and dog training skills
- Handling techniques
- Body language reading
- Training equipment advise
- Trust and leadership
- Fun activities to share with your dog and the rest of the family
Your dog will learn:
- Manners and social skills with dogs and people
- Heel without pulling the leash
- Sit
- Lie down
- Stay
- Come
- Practice of all commands and final exam receiving a Canine University diploma, graduation cap and a yellow tag for their collar as symbol and proof of the level of obedience
Includes advise on potty training, husbandry, living with kids and behavior issues. In case of complex problems, we recommend setting up special sessions to solve them.
Duration
12 classes of 20-30 minutes each. 2 times/week over 6 weeks.
Method
- Individual classes 100% customized alternated between one dog-professor and one family-dog-professor, so that both dog and human family learn at the same phase
- After the class with the family, we’ll assign homework for you to practice during the rest of the week
Requirements
- 3 months and up. All dogs can learn, for which there’s no age limit. Professors will adapt the techniques depending on age, personality and conditions of the student
- Original up-to-date vaccination certificate must be brought to the initial consultation or sent in advance through email. NO EXCEPTIONS
- Pawrents must remain on campus at all times. No students without supervision will be allowed except during class with the professors. Classes will be held in the Denver area
- Please, bring bags to pick up after your pup

Payment:
- Consultation (if applicable): prepaid through deposit or cash
- Course: 100% before starting or 50% before starting and 50% before class 5
- Once the deposit is made, please send the receipt with the student’s name to info@ucanine.com
Enrollment
- A private initial consultation with the dog and family must be held before starting any course with the purpose of getting to know you and determine the best course according to your needs
- Consultations will be held by appointment only
