Pawliday Dinner

It’s time to celebrate the pawlidays the right way!

We love spoiling our pups and the holidays are always packed with temptations that are mostly unsafe for them to eat. Luckily, the Canine University has the solution for you to keep spoiling them in a safe and healthy way. Not to mention DEEELICIOUS!!! And saving you hours of cooking and tons of money for ingredients that you won’t use: the Gourmet Pawliday Dinner.

Pawliday Dinner Canine University Denver

Every dish is home-made with gourmet standards and the same love that we put into our own pups’ treats, using nothing but the best natural and organic products (they eat better than we do!).

What’s included?

  • Each Pawliday Dinner includes a single portion of each scrumptious item in the menu:
We’ll start with some incredible Sweet Potato Crisps that’ll get your pup drooling already. Then, we’ll move on to the entrée starring a dish that couldn’t be named any other way: Pawliday Dream Loaf. This loaf is a succulent piece of plain joy with organic turkey, quinoa, cranberries & a meddley of fresh veggies baked to perfection. Next to it: a scrumptious side of Stuffing with turkey, oatmeal, butternut squash and paw-licking delights. Finally, top everything off with an individual Pupkin Pie infused with apple sauce showcasing the bounty of healthy benefits and deliciousness of pumpkin, oats and plain Greek yogurt.
  • You’ll receive the appetizer, entrée and side in a microwave/freezer-safe container with different compartments and 21 oz capacity. These containers are also reusable and dishwasher safe (top rack). Please, remove the lid before microwaving
  • The dessert will be in a single serve container separately. This will make it easier in case you want to save it for later
  • Follow us through Instagram @Canineu and Facebook to check out photos/videos as the magic unfolds in our kitchen!

Is it really safe for dogs?

Yes! Every single ingredient is 100% dog-safe & human-grade. You could literally eat it yourself (although your dog would appreciate it if you didn’t). This service was created after our friends kept getting jealous of the special treats we would make for the pawfessors while their pups couldn’t have holiday dinners due to the amount of toxic human ingredients. They also didn’t have hours to spend cooking these special dishes and didn’t want to spend the money buying all the ingredients needed for more food than they needed for 1-2 servings.

How can such an epic menu be made in a dog-friendly way?

Lots of research and substitutions. We mean it when we say the pawfessors are spoiled! For example, where normal human recipes would call for all-purpose flour, we use whole wheat or brown rice flour. Cream becomes plain Greek yogurt. We, of course, also skip all human seasonings like salt and pepper, garlic, onions and every other common human ingredient that’s toxic for dogs.

Is the Pawliday Dinner for large or small dogs?

  • The savory items will fit in a 21 oz capacity container (a standard meal-prep kind). Generally aimed for medium sized pups. If it’s too much for your little one, you can split the portions and refrigerate or freeze the remainders for another joyful day. Sometimes we even split it with our large pups, so it’s like getting several meals for the price of one.
  • Remember this is only a special occasion treat. The Pawliday Dinner is not meant to substitute your pup’s normal diet
  • Every menu item can be frozen, so feel free to save some for later. Just remember to properly thaw everything before feeding it to your pup

What if my dog is allergic or has digestive issues?

The Pawliday Dinners are completely natural and overall safe for canine consumption. Many dogs that we know have had these recipes without any issues. However, because every dog is different, we can’t guarantee that yours specifically will be fully ok. Regardless of medical conditions, we always recommend moderation and portion control.

Sounds incredibly delicious and my dog will go crazy over it but, how healthy is this menu for them?

Very! Although, like we said, this is not meant to substitute a normal diet. Here’s some key ingredients and some of their many amazing benefits for dogs:

  • Sweet potato: helps the digestive system and promotes healthy skin, coat, eyes, nerves, and muscles
  • Cranberries: full of antioxidants. Can help prevent UTIs, support the immune system and bladder health
  • Coconut oil: anti inflammatory, anti fungal, anti bacterial, boosts immune system, improves brain activity especially in older dogs, makes their coats shiny and soft, supports bone health
  • Oats: protect the skin, soothing irritation and itchiness, which also boosts a healthy coat
  • Green beans: full of vitamins, minerals and fiber. Also low-calorie, which makes them a great treat while on a diet
  • Butternut squash: boosts immune system, helps digestion, promotes eye, skin and muscle health
  • Quinoa: protects heart and nervous system functions, supports healthy shiny coat, prevents diabetes and obesity
  • Zucchini: benefits vision, skin, coat, bones and metabolism
  • Pumpkin: amazing for digestion (this is what the pawfessors eat when they get tummy troubles). Also improves their skin and coat
  • Parsley: helps vision, immune health, liver health, freshens bad breath, antimicrobial, anti inflammatory. Being a diuretic, it can help dogs with arthritis

Can I substitute some menu items?

Depending on the substitutions, sometimes we can make exceptions and allow this. Please Contact Us with details.
